Cat® ELI incorporates the same advanced corrosion protection formula technology as Cat ELC but without glycol.

Attributes:
Lowers maintenance costs by eliminating the need for supplemental coolant additives, extends coolant change-out intervals, and reduces disposal requirements.

Recommended Application:
For use in generator sets, industrial engines and marine engines that do not require freeze protection. Must add ion-free water to dilute.

 

Special Requirements:
Cat diesel engines equipped with air-to-air aftercooling (ATAAC) or Cat C7-C32 marine engines with engine mounted heat exchangers and raw water aftercoolers (SWAC(2)). Special Requirement, minimum of 30% Glycol is required. 50% Glycol is recommended. Water alone or water with SCA or with ELI is NOT allowed.

Cat 3618 engine model. Special Requirements, water based ELI is recommended. Water based SCA is acceptable. Glycol-based coolants are NOT allowed.

Cat C18 SCAC³, Cat C32 SCAC, and Cat 3500C Tier 3 and Cat 3500E Tier 4⁴ certified marine engines. Special requirements, maximum of 20% glycol is allowed in the aftercooler circuit (not applicable to the jacket water circuit, which is capable of 50% glycol mixture.)
